Smile, I’m Here to Cry Your Tears
Posted by Kaleidoscope on December 26, 2005
You are a sister but never have been one.
You are a friend but never have been part of one.
You are someone’s lover but you’ve never lived as theirs.
You are a blogger but you could never fit in.
You are there between the crowd, but you’re all alone, no one notices you or is interested in sharing anything with you.
All this is a temporary thing; nothing is more than this or that evening.
You are a brilliant student; to be noticed from the first day at school and everyone is interested to know all about you, but you can’t know anything about anyone.
You move around with a big wide smile and never cross your arms. Always opening your sphere for outsiders to share something with you, but instead they are never interested on that level.
Everyone is curious about your life, your ideas, and your style, but once they get what they want, they disappear.
You wonder and blame yourself, but no matter how you change, you are not in yet, you are not part of anything else than your own dear pillow and your own body.
Total loneliness.
You want to talk, but your words are never listened to. It’s always “what did you say?” or “I can’t hear you; raise your voice, please!” is what you get.
And then, you start wishing and praying to go back in to where you came from, a place where you feel at home, the only place that allows you into your secret tears.
This is what it takes to be your little sweetheart sister!
