Life Is a Bitch

Her presence would light up a room. As soon as she’d walk in, everyone would come rushing to her side. Everyone huddled around her. Everyone wanted to talk to her. Everyone wanted to be her friend.
That was then, not now: not anymore.
Where is she now, I ask myself? A vacuum is where she is: a world of emptiness. Vulnerable she has turned. Miserable she has become.
Cruel life has gotten the best of her. It has broken her down bit-by-bit and day-by-day.
Life’s ugly face started to grow on her. It pulled her down to the ground. It sucked the life out of her. She fell hard on her face. She hit rock bottom.
The star has now faded. The flower has now withered. The liveliness has now vanished. She has lost her thunder.
She has lost her friends. She has lost her spirit. She has lost her soul. She has lost HERSELF.
“Come back,” I cry. “Come back,” I beg. “Please, come back”.
