…is one of the most essential physical and emotional abstracts in any human being’s life.

Many do not even know it exists and others invade it (in-) deliberately raping you of your identity and individuality.

THE PHYSICAL INVASION:

Since an individual’s private circle is abstract, many cross the line, step on it and destroy it. They stand inches away from you and force you to take a step back. To your amazement, they take a step forward, it’s like you’re inviting them in instead of pushing them out. You try moving back again and again till you’re literally against the wall. Then you start the ‘backward head leaning process’, -and then they rudely ask:

“Why are you moving away? Does my breath smell bad?”

Sigh. If they even had the ability to think of that then how could they not think of moving backward and giving us our damn space in the first place?! But since we are imprisoned by what they call social etiquette what do we say in return:

“No, no I’m sorry I didn’t notice I was moving away” We shut up, grin, bear it and hope the blabbering, spitting, breathing and perspiring will soon be over with.

You’re desk becomes a source of magnetism. Seeing you at your computer lures them like a horny man to a 20 year-old bimbo. It’s fascinating how it still has that effect nowadays when bimbos – oops I mean computers - are as easily accessible as air and everyone has at least two, where the second is spare ;). They stand right behind you, on top of you, inside you; the term claustrophobia is not in their thesaurus. You turn around to talk to them when you realize you could just give them a kiss instead.

THE EMOTIONAL INVASION:

The only advantage it has over the physical one is that it’s odorless.

The two intertwine though, when attacked emotionally you detach physically. That’s the beauty of body language that not many can comprehend. A concerned innocent question like “Why didn’t you pick up?” or “Why are you so tense these days?” seems like a million accusations. You are woven into an inextricable knot. Tension arises, you get paranoid, you start perspiring, you avoid eye contact, your arms prepare themselves to protect the body from the blow not realizing that the arms cannot stop the emotional attack. This causes more anxiety for the person asking, s/he wonders how bad the secret you’re hiding is. You realize that but you refuse to yield or comfort them, and you get aggressive because you have been hurt, invaded, and weakened by the emotional confrontation.

What do you do now?

Isolate yourself in a world cut off from all means of communication where only you and a selected few exist.

Until when? You’ll never know! For now, you have been blinded by your pride.
